Yes--it's that time of year.
The Holy Grail of laziness. The Cornucopia of "I don't care, I'm going back to bed".
Summer. Vacation.
And I won't lie. I neeeeed it.
Oh Wizard101 Blog-O-Sphere, how I have missed you! And there's SO MUCH we need to catch up on. I won't state the obvious (coughWintertuskWaterworksNewPetsNewSpellsNewMegaBundleNewGiftCardPetscough), but I will say that I have a lot to talk about--but not all in one post. Let me say that this is more or less an introduction to the Summer Editions of the Midmorning Owl--Bringing you breaking news from across the Spiral*!
*Mainly having to do with its author, me.
I have a ton of projects I need to accomplish this year and I hope you'll stick around and hear me drone on all about them. Let me first tell you that I finally--yes, after...a very long time (I forgot to count..)..I have finally finished my Celestial Observatory--and it only took me 5 minutes. Whew! You can expect a video sometime this weekend/next week.
I also finally got around to leveling my Death wizard (something I've been shoving behind me), and I have a video with both--yes, both--of his Level 58 quests. It's kinda long and I kinda need to upload it still, so you can expect that later as well!
So I hope I didn't lose you all over my hiatus, and I hope to bring you another post soon!

Wild Blog Post Appeared!
Boogah boogah!
Haven't spoken in a while, have I? Hope you weren't worrying about me or anything. I just haven't had much to blog about lately! Both Wizard school and Earth school are slamming on the brakes, so my life has been painfully dull (if that's possible). That seems to be remedied by the release of Wintertusk onto the Test Realm. The Blog-o-Sphere and just about everything else has been going nuts about it.
I'm not so sure if I want to do Test or surprise myself when it gets to Live. I only signed in to update all those files and when I tried to get my (I think) level 35 spell but it seems that Ice wizards are bugged, maybe? I don't know.
I can't seem to play Wizards for too long. My Laptop is having a midlife crisis, perhaps, because it doesn't ever want to do things for an extended amount of time. Most times I can sign in, tend my Garden, and it's already whirring more than I feel comfortable with. Sigh.. So I've been stuck using the desktop, which can play Wizards, but at a much, much lower quality.
So maybe I'll see you on the Test Realm. Maybe not. We'll see what the weekend brings. Hope you all had a great Easter! I expect Eggbert will be packing up soon and maybe he'll take all of this rainy weather with him.

Roaming Mounts!
Roaming Mounts--that's neat!
But not the reason I'm posting! This is more or less just me saying "Check out those pets!"
Perhaps the new Legendary Pets? Or maybe some completely random ones? Who knows!
All I know is I want a Humungofrog, and I want one now!
PS - Did I mention the Test Realm's open? Yeah! You can test some amulets that let you use your Power Pips for your secondary school(s).

Pets and Plants and Producer's Letters
To start this post off, let's hear it for a great April Producer's Letter. Most of the time the letters are kinda vague and don't rile up much of my interest, but this month's is packed with things I can't wait to find out about (and maybe it having something to do with my favorite world changes things..). You can read the letter here.
Secondly, I have gotten back into getting some of those "Dream Pets" on my Wizards. Now that I have two Sea Dragons, it's pretty easy to get started--definitely recommend that you all spend some time farming Astreaus. Anywho! When I last left off I had gotten my Balance's Dream Krok--and I might just mention that now the Blade/Trap Card giving Talents stack with their base forms when used; woot for Hexter! Bosses of the Spiral, fear my Judgment!
But I've picked up on my Storm and Life wizards. I'll talk about my Life first, as his needs were relatively easy. All I wanted was a Brown Spider (it's Innate card gives a spell that will put up a Life Damage bubble) with Spritely. Now, I changed my mind on the Spritely part--why? Because it was so annoying when my Turtle would use up my Guiding Light cards (right before I was about to Overheal somebody, mind you. I like big numbers..), so I gave up trying for that talent and instead began looking for Lifeblade and Blade of Life (both of which manifested on a Turtle I got from Tempus Stormfist--another great farming spot!). Now I'm not a big attacker when I'm in groups, and when I'm alone I tend to go for big one hit kills with either Centaur or Wookie--I mean Forest Lord, so the May Cast Lifeblade talent probably wouldn't be all that beneficial to me. So I settled with Blade of Life...and...well...I got it. So that pet's done right? Probably. I'm not hard to please with Pets, being as unpredictable as they are. In the future I may go through again and try to get some other talents on it, but for now, I'll take it!
Now my Storm's pet was rather difficult to come up with. I posted quite some time ago that I was trying for a Stormman, and I've changed that. I figured I've got so many Thunder Colossus sitting around, I might as well make them useful. So I hatched my TColossus with a Sea Dragon and was amazed; a jump in pedigree from 57 to 65! It's one of my favorite pets now, as it got a Talent that hadn't even manifested on it's Parent Dragon. I'm aiming for Spritely, which hasn't shown up yet, but I'm hopeful.
And to wrap up, I'll give you a picture of my Silver Trumpet Vines. I really don't like gardening, but I wanted some Balance Blades and Cleanse Charms and Pierces, so I figured I might as well use what I have. They wouldn't be so bad if they didn't insist on randomly wilting. Darn bugs (err--the glitch kind..) in the system!
That looks to be about it for this post (it's kinda long, isn't it?). Just wanted to plant a seed and say that I plan on going a bit "bigger" with posts in the future. Not that I don't love talking about myself (just kidding; I don't.. I don't think..), but I like to write more about mechanics and speculation than day to day things. Perhaps my first project will be to dig into what I think Wintertusk will be like. Time will tell!

Well Hello There!
It's been a while, hasn't it. Or,well, it's felt like a while.
My life after this week just got ten times easier--why, you ask? Because I'm done, yes done, with my "hard" classes (hard is fun, in my dictionary though), so I'm not jammed with homework and notes to take every night. And--oh yes, there's more!--we got our internet fixed! Running faster than ever, if I dare say so myself.
But there's not much to report on the world of personal Wizarding. I finished up my Frozen Fly Traps again Monday. Diamond Grand Total--119! And several messages from the Librarian dog (I really can't remember his name right now..) that my Treasure Deck was full. Guess I should use some of those Ice spells..
So I started a Silver Trumpet Vine garden in my Celestial Observatory. I didn't have a full stock of 32 to make a perfect garden, so I've got some Helephant Ears and a King Parsley scattered around. No Gong of the Oni though; that Death Oni seems to think I'm fond of Leprechauns.
If you live under a rock (or don't read the messages as you sign into the game..) Wintertusk has been announced. It's a continuation of Grizzleheim, and I'll just say it loud and proud right now--I love Grizzleheim! It probably is my favorite world. Reminds me so much home; the winters, the trees, the green life. Aaaah.. Anyway--there's supposedly some new spells and quest pets coming out. My wizards are all maxed out (besides my Death wizard..whom I really should get serious with Celestia), so I'll be running through for the fun of it, like I did for GH.
On the note of Pets, two "new" ones have been spotted and cracked; the Nightmare and the Egg Pet. I'm not very fond of either; the Egg Pet loos like an Easter pet and the Nightmare is Fire--icky for an Ice wizard focus.
That's all I've got to talk about. More to come as things keep happening!

Hocus Pocus, Time to Focus!
Sorry for the lack of posting lately!
Finals week and I've been bombed with other stuff to do (not to mention Pokemon Black and White came out this past week..).
I haven't had much time in-game either, except to check on my Frozen Fly Traps. Up to 61 Diamonds now! Woo! Oh, and a full treasure card book.. Looks like I need to start using more of those..
Along with my lack of time, my Internet has been absolutely haywire lately--and is beginning to act up again. I will talk to you all again (hopefully) later this week!

Thank Goodness It's Friday
(Goodness as in Glinda the Good... aaanyway!)
It's been a very fast, but very loooong week. So.. with that said, where should I start?
Perhaps with the release of the Celestian Housing on Live Realm. *clears throat*
I plan on making a video tour of my house when it's done, but to wet your appetites...
With the burden of crafting comes the burden of Reagent Harvesting. I mentioned last post that I was starting a Frozen Fly Trap garden to take care of my need for Diamonds; and it's been fairly successful. Starting with 3 Diamonds, I now have 34. However, I've been out of energy for about a week straight. Frozen Fly Traps are the neediest plant that I've taken care of so far with the Rank 5 Garden Imp pest and 3 needs a day. Let's just say that 70 Energy does not cut it. I may have to invest in a Baconator suit..
In the Pet business, I've been doing..well..nothing. However, I was told by a friend of mine that Blade of Life and other Trap/Blade giving Talents are now stackable with their trained spell counterparts. I can attest to this as Hexster now stacks with Hex--woo-woot! I've switched my Life wizard from my Spritely/Health Gift Turtle to my BoL/May Cast Lifeblade Turtle.
Hmm.. I think that's it. Finals are coming up fast and we're registering for next year's classes soon. I've got a mess on my plate. Not a bad mess, though. I'll figure it out..I always do. :P

WOOOOOT!
I am in love with the Observatory. I've got a lot of decorating done outside, but I've hardly touched the inside. I've got the entrance floor decorated; not quite sure what to do with the rest of the interior. I've got a long list of people I've got to farm this weekend and an even longer list of things to get Crafting--starting with those Celestian Planters. I've figured out I want 12--which is a lot of Acorns. Luckily, they're cheap!I plan on making a video tour of my house when it's done, but to wet your appetites...
