About Me

I find it incredibly hard to talk about myself sometimes, but here goes: I am a student that's deeply involved in my studies. I play several games and I love to write. Enjoy!

Crafted Out!

As of 10 minutes ago, my Life wizard, Zachary WillowGrove, has achieved Grandmaster Artisan! And I think I was right when I said the quests just get easier and easier the more you do them. My biggest problem now-a-days is finding the Nightshade for the Crimson Book Stands. I must admit, however, that my reagent stores are somewhat depleted, and now that I'm looking to start crafting Rebirth cards they're going to take even harder hits. Yaaay...!

It was a rather whirlwind journey with this wizard. Finish one quest and start on another--I actually did the Book Stands and the Amulet back to back; pays to have those short timer times. ;)

But while I recuperate, I will be geeking out to the live coverage of the London HP7 Pt. II. You too can watch it here on YouTube. Off to nerd out for a little while! Talk to you later!

Another Crafter Finished!

I really don't know what it is, but the later it gets, the bigger my urge to Craft. So I channeled this weird, new found energy into tying up the loose threads for my Balance wizard. And I ended up with this!

Pierce doesn't take the best pictures..
And after that I switched over to my Myth and crafted some Untidy Bookshelves to put in his new house (which I'll make a video of sometime soon--can't make a video of him right now because he's rather weird looking with his Tricksy Hood and Boots but no robe...); frankly I did not know this recipe existed, and I love the bookshelf, so I made.. uh.. too many!

Also went and spruced (er, Giant Willow Tree'd) up my Ice's Observatory now that the garden is done. Here are some pictures; the first is where the Garden was (the Sun room) and the Fish Pond (Moon room).

So today was a great day! Hope yours was too, and have a good week!

This Week in Review

It has been a beautifully weird week. Yes, weird is beautiful.
This week I have found a new respect for Wizards that play in the Spiral on computers that aren't as advanced as others. While the game does not look horrible on my Desktop, it does not run very well at all. I will never complain about lag ever again (well... never may be an over-exaggeration).

But outside of the hardware realm, it's been a pretty productive week for me in-game. I've made ...some... progress on a new Pet for my Ice and I've actually crafted several items over the course of the week--some Wintertusk rings and athames, a Trident of Typhoons for my Myth wizard (who I'm told has horrendous Block Rating)--I even took the time to go reagent farming somewhere in there! I've been thinking and I may just try to craft a Watchtower Hall for my Myth wizard. ...Maybe.

Test went up so that we could all see the new Malistaire Cut-Scene. I suppose I like it, though now that I've seen it once (well, twice. Had to check the Second Chance Chest the second time around.), I'm not sure I'll ever want to see it again. So instead of that, I did some Pet Training! Because, honestly, why else would we go on Test? Oh yeah.. to uh.. test.. stuff... Heh.
My Wyvern was plagued with Disarm, leading to me staring a new Ice Pet, and my Krok got Sharp Shot (though my Balance wizard has been overseeing the Ice Pet business; Don't ask.), so yay for at least one helpful pet!

Gardening has been somewhat uneventful. I don't know if I mentioned this in an earlier post, but I planted some Maelstrom Snap Dragons (MSDs) in hopes of harvesting some Triton Treasure Cards. Well, it's been at least 7 Harvests now and I have not gotten much outside of Perfect Gems and Celestial Reagents, though the Aether and Golden Pearl harvests are ALWAYS appreciated. I'm very hopeful that Elder Harvests are keeping the good stuff in store for me.
This closely resembles the weather we had here ALL WEEK.
And Mocha's expression closely resembles my own because of that.

Other than the norm I have not had much to do in-game, which has lead me to start pondering *gulp* PvPing! *Dun dun dunnnnn!!!!* Just kidding (I think). Will need to work on getting my WaterWorks gear before that, however, so there's probably more to talk about next week then, isn't there? ;)

Happy Presidents' Day!

I hope everybody is enjoying their day off; if you have one today. If you don't.. well.. sorry for rubbing it in? :(

I was going to post lots of interesting President facts and have a little mini-History lesson, but then I remembered that History is kinda boring. Not that I think it is, but..

Let's talk about Wizard101!
I finished crafting the things I need for the Celestial Observatory. If I can keep the gold I have and not spend it, I should be able to get it done first day! Woo-woot! But while I wait for that to be released on Live, I've been looking at the other Celestia Housing items I could craft and decided I'd make some Statues and Bookshelves. Just a little funny how the Celestian furniture is SO HUGE! Statues are supposed to be big, yes, but look at the size of this Bookshelf!

That doesn't make me feel short at all.. Anyway, I plan on crafting some Celestian Planters, too. And more Tree Sprigs and I'll be farming at Nallanor for some Blooming Trees. Thankfully Trees are better when they're bigger.

I'll close up Crafting with a ProTip (Yeaaaaah, ProTip!): Don't feel limited to the Chancel or Trial of Spheres for your Sand and Sunstones, I personally beat up on Nuncio in the Crab Empire. Both he and his minion are Fire school, so it's easy pickings for my Ice wiz. Most of the end-Science Center and up bosses will drop at least Sandstone.

Pets! So I talked about my Sea Dragons last post and said I was going to get to Hatching with them, and guess what! Just guess! Oh I'll tell you--I did! I was running up Big Ben (Meowiarty's Magical 14 Floors of Madness and Mayhem) sometime this weekend and old Meowiarty dropped his Krokotillian for me! Woot! So I set to hatching on my Balance wizard and have come out with a pretty nice Egg. Princess Rufus and Queen Phoebe were the parents. And here's the Egg:

Was going to give you a picture of the baby, but the timer glitched. Looks like we've got a long wait..

In other Pet news, Quinn got an Ice Bird--finally. I've only been farming since it came out!
Have a great week!

Level 55! And Crafted Gear!

Zachary RainCaster, my Storm wizard, hit level 55 this afternoon! On top of that, I spent last night and the entirety of this morning gathering the Golden Pearls to finish crafting his Level 55 Gear. Sooo happy I did, though I know I whined about it earlier.

Coming for you, Critical Gods of Celestia!

So the Surging Spirit Armor isn't the most attractive stuff in the world.. I'll be changing that later tonight, though. As you can see in the second picture I'm low on Crowns.. (That 8% Resist is from Moose, if you were wondering. Hopefully it makes it up to 10% once I get back to the Dancing Game.) I'm really happy that KingsIsle made December and January the Dragonblade pet months; I'll have a Thunder Colossus for just about all of my wizards soon. ;)

Ahh, this was a crazy week. Back to school, new classes, Pep Band just about EVERY night.. was nice to sit on my butt and veg out for a while. I keep meaning to say this, but if you ever want to get a hold of me you can send me a PM over on Wizard101Central, or shoot me an email at midmorningowl@gmail.com--I know I'm registered at BlogSpot with a different address, but I don't seem to check it all that often.. Oops!
